Cooking results vary
A recipe here has been worked through until it reads clearly and cooks the way it's described, but your stove, your oven, the altitude where you live and your own familiarity with a technique can all shift the outcome a little. Treat every time and quantity as a tested starting point rather than a promise.
Food safety is your responsibility in the kitchen
When a recipe calls for raw meat, poultry, eggs, dairy or deep frying, it includes food-safety notes — safe internal temperatures, safe storage windows and the like. Those notes are offered in good faith, but the actual handling in your kitchen is on you: checking that ingredients are fresh, cooking meat and poultry through properly, and throwing out anything you suspect has turned.
Reusing frying oil past the point where it's safe — reheating it repeatedly beyond its smoke point, mixing old oil with fresh indefinitely, or storing it carelessly — is never something this site recommends.
Not medical or nutritional advice
Nothing published here should be read as medical, dietary or nutritional guidance. Calorie counts and similar figures aren't published, and no ingredient is described as treating, preventing or curing a medical condition. Anyone managing a food allergy, an intolerance or a diet-related condition should check ingredient labels directly and speak with a qualified professional before cooking or eating a given dish.
Regional and historical claims
Origin stories get researched with care, but culinary history travels mostly by word of mouth across generations, which means it can stay genuinely contested or simply incomplete. Where a claim can't be pinned down with confidence, this site tries to say so plainly instead of presenting it as settled.
